We arrived at Wilsons Promontory without a problem, when we hooked up in the rain to come home. I noticed the green light failed on the ATC stability control failed to light up , we continued regardless and made a 30 minute stop at my daughters which is about 20minutes from home as we tried to leave there we had the brakes on the van engaged all the time.. I had to unhitch and leave the van there . 5 days later hooked back up to the van and towed it home fine,, except. Still no green light .. Can anyone help
Welcome to the gang Ian, enjoy here and out in the playground.
I notice you are from Gisborne in VIC. Nice are. I have friends in Bacchus Marsh just the the country road.
Just over 6 years ago now I pulled up at friends place, reversed van in driveway, unhooked and found the van wouldnt move. Discovers the breakaway unit had engaged. Not sure now what I did wrong but released not all that long later. It has never happened since.
Keep Safe on the roads and out there.

I assume you are aware if you pull the pin (accidentally or otherwise) the brakes are applied even when pin is replaced for 15 - 30 minutes. Happened to us up at Dampier WA (no service centre up there). If you have an ALKO unit and have problems they wouldn't acknowledge a faulty unit.
We don't have ALKO ESC anymore we now have Dexter - no problems.
