Energy Companies Trying to charge you for export solar

Energy Companies have a proposal up to the effect they can even charge you for surplus solar export to the grid. Depending on load and time of day. Once they get these keys it will be any time that suits them in my opinion. I lodged a brief complaint on the website submission form. AEMC.gov.au

This is disgusting.

I paid thousands of dollars to install solar panels and I was guaranteed that they'd buy my generated electricity. Now they may want to charge me for generating clean energy. They need to invest in batteries, pumped hydro, hydrogen storage, or other green technologies to fix the problem. Then they can buy back my panels.

Why would anyone want to do the right thing for the environment by installing solar panels if they keep changing their promises?

Craig1,

What's the URL to complain please? I'd like to tell them my opinion. (

Go to ; AEMC.gov.au, look for " pending things". Then Item in question is ERC0311. Section 4.3 seemed to be the key to complain about. There are over 200 pages though. Sorry, not too smart with direct links

It will be more incentive to go off-grid, so then there will be an ever decreasing network.

Get over it people. Next thing those who started out getting 60 cents per unit will be taking their discrimination case to the UN. South Australia already requires all new solar customers to have inverters that can be remotely switched off. Or would you rather the whole state goes down for days?
