Hi all, we have had our new model ISUZU D MAX MY 21 DUAL CAB UTE for about 3 months now. Our new van has arrived and we pick it up on Thursday. The Isuzu Book shows under the towing section that the following should be turned off. EG..." BLIND SPOT MONITORING," also says it is worth turning off .... LKA "LANE KEEP ASSIST", "ELK EMERGENCY LANE KEEPING", and " LDP, LANE DEPARTURE PREVENTION". I am seeking feedback from owners of the new DMAX MY21 and are towing a van just what they have done in regard to the above functions. Have they turned all these functions off, some or none at all. It also states that if they are turned off then should the vehicle stop and then switch off the motor then they would need to be reset once again. This sounds like a real pain. Any info. from other vanners towing with the new DMAX MY21 would certainly be appreciated. Cheers Jim { Rainbird Rovers}If you would prefer to Private Message me that would be ok.
Have you looked in at the OzIsuzu Forum?
They have specific sections on towing - if your query is not there, then you can ask it. There are some very knowledgeable people who know these cars inside out.
Having all these safety systems in a car is good but who is driving the car? You or a computer? And another interesting point is that you will have to have glass insurance in your car's policy as most of the cameras, etc are built into the windscreen, adding to its cost when you have a stone thrown by a passing vehicle.
