Forward with the fifth by A.W Keown. First Ed published 1921.
Not necessarily a first edition. But original. In good or better condition. There are plenty of recent reprints but I'm after an early print of the original say 1930s
I doubt that any member of the 5th Battalion Regimental Association that would have a copy would be willing to part with it, even if they happened to read this Forum - www.goodreads.com/book/show/9493420-forward-with-the-fifth may help.

Did only members of the 5th Battalion Regimental Association get a copy originally?
I am unaware - As they served in almost every theatre in WW1 there would be numerous cherished original copies donated to "Charity Shops" by families of members on their passing. Some Libraries are parting with the old "paper books" when they digitise their stocks - as the old books take too much effort to maintain, you may get lucky in a regional/rural library.

No not yet, I decided to just look around casually in book and OP shops. My daughter is also looking. The few I've seen on line haven't exactly been cheap.
