That is not a "Whatchamacallit" Possum

It is just a normal Stillson Pipe Wrench, with the normal hammer head, 1/4 inch six sided socket, and 1/2 inch ratchet attachments, welded onto it

I will admit though, you would have to be a real dinki di, watchacallit type man, to have one in your caravan

Because

smilesmile There is not a lot of call, to carry a stillson pipe wrench, in a caravan smilesmile

Dmaxer has one nearly the same as that. He uses it to adjust his WDH. He had to modify it when he first got it cos his van was over it's ATM. Power was provided by his generator to do the welding.

Au contraire, I have assisted a few out on the wallaby effect repairs utilising stillson wrench, from wresting stubborn damaged Tow balls to underbody suspension components.

As usual Possum, you are right! In my car there are two Stilson wrenches, one at 18" and the other at 36".Always they are handy to have, for both my own use and to help others.Probably no need to carry things like taps and dies,or ezy-outs,but I carry those too! Cheers.

 Then I stand corrected

I am fairly sure that in my past life, of being a Fitter

I still have a 36, 24, and 18 inch pair of stillsons somewhere in my shed

But I would never dream of carrying them, when I travel

Be perfect when camped up and bored. Just pull it out and do the tappets on the motor...

If you set the Stilson jaws at 5/8" open they make great bottle openers.

ps I'd replace the phillips head screwdriver with a wine cork screw.

Even the vintage drops now have screw tops (another use for Stilson Wrench) so no need for corkscrew.

I tend to carry all sorts of tools and stuff. I've been ridiculed for carrying a terminal crimper and a load of various connectors and have never used 'em until last week. An errant stick or something destroyed one of the camper brake cables - simple fix, crimp a couple of joiners on and off we go.

Funnily, although I've never used it, ever, nobody ridicules us for carrying a fire extinguisher though. Never used road side assist either but apparently it's also a must have.

The multitool - never say never...

You need a left hand thread, so flipping it over doesn't work.
