We had an email and also a notice on our paper account that Telstra wanted to send email a/cs. After they had dudded us for $5 a month for 3 months, until I re read the a/c. So, we tried to email back, tried to phone them, tried online assist and really got nowhere, as we still wanted a paper account. So wrote to them and said " We will not accept an email account, please honour your agreement to send a paper account.
Attached is their response, written in Mumbai Engrish
You could also try calling them,if you have plenty of time and patience. What stirs me up is having them call me,and then wanting me to identify myself before they can proceed. For them, perhaps there is too much thinking involved? Cheers
I got the result that I wanted, just thought it might be a bit like Yobarr cartoon. We have no hope really. A computer bloke said to me yesterday morning, " All the big companies are trying to distance themselves from the consumer, in the hope that we will accept whatever drivel and nonsense they dish out".
But we are still up for a battle or fight. I had an email from a lady who said " I am working Thursday from 8.30 am until 2.30am "
Immediately thought " bloody hell, where is Dougwe's gen set" !
Years ago we had a large mail order business. Up to 500 parcels a day. We used Aust Post and IPEC. IPEC changed from them doing the paper work to us doing the paper work. They then charged us a new fee for them having to enter our paper work into their computer. Go figure!
