To get a little bit back on track, of the original poster

My gut feeling, tells me that there are a lot of RV's being sold lately
Perhaps the people who usually go overseas for a holiday, will be staying in Australia, for a few more years, due to Covid-19

I can see that around family (school children) holiday times, many caravan parks will be fully booked out

I can also see, many free campsite being closed, for many reasons such as, not supporting local business, or not helping to keep the site free of rubbish

I usually stay away from built up areas, and use free/donation campsites

But...
For the next few years, if I know that I have to stay in a built up area, for whatever reasons, I would be pre booking, just to be sociable
