Blaze aid for solo travellers a great idea.

Volunteering with Blazeaid gives you company, free camping and food and the best of all...helping out needy farmers. You don't have to do fencing if not fit enough , there is cooking, cleaning (only a few hrs a day) and admin plus lots of other helpful things you can do ....and great company too!  A fewq days, weeks or months -you ARE needed. This message from Woorooloo in WA. There is also a camp up near  Cyclone zone. More info on Blazeaid camps Australia wide is here.

Thank you to all the volunteers who have taken up the challenge to find 1000 volunteer days. Unfortunately we haven't been able to meet our target of 20 volunteers each day, we have come close but we need to meet that target in order to finish the job.
We have some wonderful people who volunteer every week, some have been out on the properties helping for months, some have given up one day a week, some can only come for the one day, businesses have sent groups, together they make up the army who have made such a difference to the property owners here in the Perth Hills.
Everyone can help, if you can walk a kilometre down the fence line, if you can use a pair of pliers, if you can carry one star picket, you can join our teams making a difference. If you can't do this, you can spread the word about what we do and how we need to do it now !

Do they allow travellers with pets?

The website says:

"If you have pets, please check with the Camp Coordinator before bringing them."

I did about 6 months with Blaze aid. Excellent group and experience. We had a few dogs over that time but never out on the job. They always stayed at camp.

Ah! The serenity
