Thanks to all those forum members with the advice regarding the awning that would not mesh with the support arm when retracting. I took Possum's advice and opened the awning and then gave the opposite end of the roller a couple of pushes. I then retracted the awning and voila, all is fixed.

Great advice everyone and thanks for that.

Occasionally I get the foot out of my mouth, not often mind you. Glad it worked - a lot cheaper and easier than a dismantling job.
