OK this is about 'our' ABC but it can apply to any media outlet.
On the ABC news website there's story about the power failure in Qld. The Callide power station shut down. Yes it's coal but anything man made can breakdown. Wind towers can catch fire. Solar farms be destroyed by hail. This is not a renewable bash. It's the reporting.
Headline - Queensland government responds to failure at coal-fired Callide power station by turning to battery power "The battery will have the capacity to power up to 57,000 homes every year, and store 150mWh of energy, so it's around 25 times the capacity of the largest battery currently operating in Queensland." So? So think about what they are saying. Many folks would say "wow, 'see how good batteries can be' ". But reread what they are saying. 'power up to 57000 homes a year'. Do they mean power 57000 homes 24 hours a day for 12 months of the year? That's what they imply. But is it 156 homes a day over a 12 month period? (57000/365). Even so does that mean 24 hours a day for 156 homes with all appliances available 24 hours a day? My point is this. We all read the headlines and maybe even the whole story. But is the story the whole story? I'm now at the point in life where the media is getting right up my nose more than the politicians. We have had our camprvan now for 18 months. Done almost 20k in it. Will still haven't connected up the TV. And it's bliss.
The problem is that pretty much all generators are cooled with hydrogen, helium is far too expensive so they do not use it.
Hydrogen has up to 10 times more cooling effectiveness than simply using air. The entire turbine is saturated, enclosed & sealed in hydrogen gas. It also has far better friction properties than air.
As long as you can keep the hydrogen totally enclosed in the generator including through bearings it works well. No leaks!
The very slightest fault & you end up with a Hindenburg issue.
The answer is to build smaller & more hydrogen cooled generators for more redundancy.
Or gradually replace them altogether over time with a decentralized network not using a Hindenburg risk.

A quick calculation shows 150mWh for 57,000 homes gives each about 2,600 watt hours, or enough to run a standard plugged in room heater for a little over an hour. That is if the battery is run right down to zero. And then of course, the battery needs to be refilled somehow.
I too find the media is becoming more and more agenda driven, rather than reporting on the news. If you only have one news source you never realise how much you are being indoctrinated. I confess to using ABC as my principle news source (strong left wing bias), but counter it with Sky News (strong right wing bias). I then get to appreciate opinions from both sides. At least we are not as bad as the horrendous bias in the US media ..... yet.
I'm speaking about radio as I hardly ever watch TV.
Carefully analyse the top three or four items on the main ABC radio news broadcasts; more often than not they are not actually news but rather a generalised report upon a social issue: favourites are anything to do with women, migrants, Aborigines and the like and how repressed they are. A major catastrophe overseas may be reported as, eg, the fourth item but the headline might well have been "Ms X says the government is not providing enough funds for women's refuges".
The financial state of women's refuges in Australia may well be important *but* it is not a major news item over-riding all other items on a particular day. Analyse the top stories and you'll see what I mean.
People in middle management in the ABC will generally be around mid thirties so the were born in the mid eighties and university educated around 2005 by which time the universities had become middle class bastions of Political Correctness and the natural enemies of the Western societies which had established and funded them. The consequence is we have a generation now in responsible positions who believe Western society is essentially evil and simply wishes to supess blacks, women and most minority groups along with raping the planet. Of course this same group of people, earning high salaries. living in the inner city and consuming more energy in a week than I do in a year don't see themselves as contributing to the "problem" but rather as being warriors of justice and highlighting it as well as shaming those rich, fat white men.
Although, of course, the commercial media will reflect the demographic I mention above the big difference is that commercial media needs to make a (swear word coming) profit! So editors will not pander to the political whims of juniors and thus juniors learn that things always have two sides - at the ABC, it seems, their prejudice is confirmed by every published article.
As for accuracy and scientific understanding: journalists are invariably recruited from arts graduates who, in Australia, have about as much education in science as a badger. Additionally I suspect the commercial media offers much brighter career possibilities to a 22 year old than does the ABC so commercial gets the cream and ABC the milk of graduates.
For 60 years I have been a major fan and consumer of public radio and I am still a staunch supporter but the ABC *must* rethink the way it operates if it is to avoid major forced changes and breakup in the future and, I would remind the ABC, it own that to it's consumers too. We are not all WOKE 30 year old, inner city livers who just know that *they* know what's best for the great unwashed masses to who they offer the benefit of their wisdom.

I subscribe to the New Scientist. It's less clicky, more informative and actually provides information mostly on scientific papers and not on some individual persons opinion. The worst are those shock jocks like Alan Jones, Andrew Bolt, Peta Credland, etcetera. The name says it all, they just say things to shock people, are rude to anyone who disagree with them and are just so ill informed that it's mostly false.

If you replace the names in your list with the ABC journalists you will be closer to the mark. But in all media it has now devolved into agenda driven opinion at the expense of news articles you can have confidence in without being misled.
Sorry about the spell checker changing "click" to "clock" but at least it prompted some puns.
Bob comes home to see an email from his neighbour Alan.
'Hi Bob, This is Alan next door. I am sorry buddy, but I have a confession to make to you. I've been riddled with guilt these past few months and have been trying to pluck up the courage to tell you to your face, but I am at least now telling in writing as I can't live with myself a moment longer without you knowing.
The truth is, I have been sharing your wife, day and night when you're not around.
In fact, probably more than you. I haven't been getting it at home recently, but that's no excuse I know.
The temptation was just too much!
I can no longer live with the guilt and I hope you will accept my sincerest apologies and forgive me.
I promise that it won't happen again. Please come up with a fee for your wife, and I'll pay you.
Regards, Alan.'
Unsurprisingly, Bob got into an incredible rage upon reading this email. Feeling insulted and betrayed, he grabbed his gun, walked briskly outside and into his neighbor's house and shot his neighbour dead. He returned home where he poured himself a stiff drink and sat down on the sofa to brood.
He took out his phone where he saw he had a subsequent email from his neighbor he didn't notice.
'Hi Bob, this is Alan next door again. Sorry about the slight typo in my last email. I expect you worked it out anyway, but as I'm sure you noticed that my Autocorrect changed "Wi-Fi" to "Wife." Technology hey?!? Hope you saw the funny side of that!
Regards, Alan.'
