My SWIFT HWS has just started playing up, will stay lit on gas. It lights, burns fo a second or two then shuts off. Does this three times then goes into standard error mode, like it does when you run out of gas. I have had the cover off, blown out the dust, had the control module out, blown out more dust and checked connections (visually). It is behaving as if the control module is not sensing the flame is burning.
Any one had a similar issue/experience? What would be a good course of action?
Welcome to GN's Kevin, I don't have your type of system but the problem occurs in many gas appliances that have carbon build up on the thermocouple if you have a manual see if you can locate to check/clean.

I had a similar problem, but it was quite intermittant, when I had a gas guy look at it it worked perfectly but a week later wouldn't light but if switch was left on it would usually light a few hours later.
I though it may have been the main controller, most times when i messed with it (reseated the various plugs) it would work.
I spoke to Fab at Swift and he suggested I try a new controller and thermostat (around $100). As luck would have it when the parts arrived the heater was playing up and wouldn't light, I swapped the control box ..still wouldn't light...replaced the thermostat ..Voila it lit and no problem since.

We had intermittent issues with ours almost from new. Long story short Fab replaced the main circuit board and burner after 4 years, no charge. That was about 8 months ago, all good now. Ph Fab.
