Put on side that gives best access to fridge with rear door - leads can always be diverted if power jack on other side or have another dedicated jack fitted.

The main reason I put mine on the left side, Mitsubishi Challenger lift type rear door, is when we need access to the fridge and have to pull over we are further from the road than the right-hand side.
Mine is on the left. Thats the wifes side and she can easily hop out of her seat and has easy access to grab me the hard earned after a day in the saddle.
As Whenarewethere said, it depends on maybe a radio interference issue or what you want to access most frequently in the cargo area. Depending on your own lifestyle, it may not be items from a fridge. Maybe other things: camera gear, swimming gear, boating accessories whatever?
Just a serious word of caution. We travel with a car fridge in our Jeep. No tie downs. One night I hit a kangaroo. That fridge went from the very back to trying to climb into the front seat. I had a camera tripod, in its bag, in the back and it did make it into the front and on the floor.
I built my own bracket, the manufacturer's bracket was good, I bought one for ideas, but it was too high for the space, so I got my own design down to 6mm with release mechanism. Took about a month to design.
