Home electrical info question.


Can anyone tell me if a 10a socket is mounted above reachable height, i.e. not using a step or ladder, does that circuit have to be fitted with a separate isolating switch that is reachable. I want to have a TV mounted above our built in robe in our bedroom.

 That sounds very high up Ian, much better to mount a TV at just above eye level when seated. Obviously, if you don't have the wall space that's a different story...........your neck smilesmilesmile

Thankyou Chris, that's all I need to know. To go in our bedroom, and have an electric reclining bed, just press a button to adjust angle. Not my choice but that's the way it goes.
