Our hand basin in the ensuite has discoloured due to sun through the windows. If anyone has a solution to restoration it would be appreciated. See attached image.
As it is manufactured from some sort of resin/plastic you would need to seek information from supplier - any chemical cleanser may aggravate the situation.
If it was mine I would most probably risk a light scrub with Ajax powder cleanser, as it is already damaged.

Cheers, Geoff
Use it as it is (probably still does the job..) or else replace it.
Hi Geoff, that looks like the same as the basin in our van, but ours was discoloured all over. I used wet and dry sandpaper starting with 360 grit then 600 and worked up to 1200 grit to smooth it again. ( water running over the paper when sanding ) This removed most of the discolour and then i used car polish on it.
I have tried to get a new one but could not find any.
I would advise against anything that scratches the surface also any product that is based on bleach.
I was successful with the Thetford toilet bowl using a paste of vinegar, baking powder and dishwashing liquid. (See below) spread it on and left it sit for quite a while and rinsed off. There are several variations of this that might also be worthwhile trying.
