It appears that these are approved for use in Australia provided the correct size rating from the table is adhered to.
These would be very handy for trailer boat users as there is nothing worse than dropping the threaded pin in the water when securing the boat for travel as well as being a quick connection for caravaners and other trailer users.
Rob, As their shackles are certified there would be no legal reason not to use them - I do have a problem with the Company's "Shackle guide" wherein they stat the only difference between a Dee and Bow shackle is that you can put more ropes on a bow type. A bow shackle is designed as a multi sling lifting shackle whereas a Dee is designed as a single direction pull shackle (the correct type for trailer chains).
