Have been having Tv reception problems for a couple of years. Have winegard antenna the horizontal/vertical figure 8 style. the reception has been consistently poor.
I have checked cable connections all nice and tight. Looked at junction box marked winegard 2way splitter ( marked 1in and 2out connections) where the 2 cables from horiz & vert go into, they were connected to 2 out connection and cable that runs off into Caravan connected to IN. This seem all wrong shouldn't the 2 aerial cables be connected to IN not out connections. ????Have tried to buy a splitter with 2 in connections and 1 out but cannot find any. What is in this splitter box?Any advice / help appreciated.
Go and have a yarn with one of the tech-heads at Jaycar - they seem to be the oracles regarding reception problems - take any bits with a query with you.

I had a word with a electrical guy just the other week. Showed him our TV, the short lead from the wall to the TV.
I walked out with a new short lead, he said my old lead was very old and wrong numbering.
That was at Roma, now have had tv Morven, Charleville, Wyandra, the mast was 32 is away there, so far so good but it is ABC only
