Hi everyone

Hi  everyone, my name is Peter and live (I assume as not been told otherwise) on the Bellarine peninsula Vic and Iv'e been into kayak fishing for the last 4-5 years and camping since I could walk, earlier this year I traveled to South west rocks NSW for a kayak fishing trip, I had been planning to do this trip for a few years but things out of my control kept it from happening until this year, my original plan was to travel up the coast camping my way there and then return the same way.

With covid sending NSW into a no go zone for us in Vic and then permits required to travel to and from meant that changes to the trip up changed to 2 days up the Hume then an overnight stay an hour from the rental property in South west rocks, after my 7 day stay there with the rest of our group we parted ways and they headed back to Melb and I just headed south, I had no real rush to get home so it was just last as long as I could cope with my setup.

Anyway, long story short it rained and rained and rained but was the best time I had in years, the people I met along the way including some I will call grey nomads made me think about doing this full time. And after returning home I was convinced I could do it without to many difficulties, so I looked into different types of accommodation and decided on a camper trailer as im not fond of towing vans.

Iv'e bought myself a secondhand older style camper trailer and have been modifying it to suit my needs with a solar system, new fridge and ofc comfort, oh and most importantly room for my kayak and fishing gear.

I intend to start my nomad lifestyle around December with my annual fishing trip to Portland then head back up the east coast for the South west rocks trip in March from there who knows.

Welcome to the forum, peatop

Hope that you enjoy, doing up the camper trailer, to your requirements

Hope that when December comes along, (Covid permitting), there are many happy road trips ahead of you

Welcome to GN's peatop, I'm sure you will find some interesting sections on this website. With a little luck December may be doable for travelling around, in the meantime get yourself a copy of Camps 11 www.campsaustraliawide.com/ and start planning out a route.
