Office in a Coaster bus

Hi all ...

We are beginning our bus conversion - just at the design phase.  Since I run my wee business online anyway, the plan is to work on the road.  Well, when stationary.  Was thinking of replacing the passenger seat with a comfy swivel chair that can slide in and out and putting my office in that space when we are parked.  Anyone done something like this?  How did you do it?  I like working on multiple monitors when things get busy.  What do ya all reckon?

Build the office desk out of a working beer fridge, it can get hot in there...

Almost anything is doable, but this proposal needs some care and some paperwork.
Replacing a seat with another is an engineering modification and will need an engineer to sign off on it prior to submitting his approval to the transport authority.
Not a big deal, but the paper work needs to be done. Choose an appropriate engineer in your area (the transport authority will give you a list) and TALK to him BEFORE you do any modifications.
The other issue is "loose objects". It is a legal requirement that loose objects must not be a danger in the event of an accident on the road. I thing things must be secured to withstand a deceleration of 10G (from memory).
Cheers,
Peter
