It came across my eyes earlier and I think an American mob.

It's called a Rhino Hitch by Kombustion around $280.

It's so special Possum no WDH needed disbeliefnosmile

Doug, check the operation of unit; (Pantograph is locked by pin/s) all it does is raise or lower ball height - It actually increases the leverage forces on rear (reasoning; by it's length), which would make it more likely to lift front, reducing downward forces on front wheels - making a WDH more useful, not less.

Why do you say you cannot fit WDH bars? Just looking at the photo there are some types of WDH bars that would fit. The heavier duty types wouldn't but they are not the only fish in the sea.

Beat me to it Possum.Other than increasing TBO (towball overhang,or distance from car's rear axle to pivot point,or towball) by about 6" (150mm) this contraption does nothing except allow adjustment of towball height, although through quite a range of heights,it seems? Increasing TBO multiplies the weight added to the car's rear axle by towball weight,as well as dramatically increasing the (negative) effects of yaw.Spare me! Cheers

Any "Australian Standards Stamp" on it....??

Vehicle Standard (Australian Design Rule 62/01 Mechanical Connections Between Vehicles) 2006
Section 9. BALL COUPLINGS
9.1. Ball Couplings intended for towing trailers up to 3.5 tonnes ATM must comply with Australian Standard 4177.2 - 1994 "50 mm Towballs" or as amended from time to time.

Sorry about that Garry, but I am travelling in the back of beyond at present, and phone service is not flash, even with CelFi Go.Sometimes nothing, and sometimes 3G only, but usually slow so no time to retrieve and post pictures.Only a few more weeks and I'll maybe find myself in areas with better coverage! Cheers

We have an Andersen ball mount which is as variable in height as the pantograph unit but has a much shorter tow ball overhang (TBO).

What are the Australian type approval numbers for the device. Also I do not think there is a large enough flat plane on it to mount WDH on.
