Nambung musical festival 2021

Went to the Nambung musical festival in October 2021

We are all different, and see the same thing, from different perspectives

Here are my thoughts on the musical festival

On the Monday and Tuesday, before the festival, which started Thursday, there was about 20mm of rain each day

I traveled on the Tuesday, with headwinds and rain, and rocked up early Wednesday morning

The approximately 13 kilometres of gravel road, (from the Cervantes end) was fairly churned up, and my first thoughts were that, this road, is only for the true believers

1,400 tickets had been pre purchased, and it was sold out, about a month before the event, and (to the best of my knowledge) no door sales

Thursday there was a bit of rain, (not much), just enough for the sound control man, to put a gazebos over his electronics

It was also at the correct height, to block off the artists, from the shoulders up

There was no more rain, and no more head shots, of the artists, as the gazebos was not removed, still such is life

Remember when I said this was for the true believers, well lucky for me, I am a true believer twice over

I believe in both the Country and Western, type of music, so I was happy

It was estimated that there were between 800 and 900 RV's, on site

After costs, approximately $25,000 went to various charities, then they auctioned off, a guitar, so another $2,100 also went to charities

There were some food vans on site, which kept running out of food

I met some friends, (some were not from this forum)

I met up with Sue & Phil, from the Seabird area, and Sue gave me permission to say that she was OK

Not much more to say, except that it started to rain, as we left on Monday, but the gravel road (the one heading towards Cervantes), had been graded

Will I go next year, of course I will, where else can you hear both types of music, in the same place
