Well that solves one question, safe on dry land now, a long way from the sea.

The threaded cap on the left, I think, is from 20 gallon fuel/oil drums, I have also seen the handle on the bottom right, but can't remember where, and what it is for. The brass nuts, are off oil lines, have seen them on boilers.  *** The brass handle, looks like it is a brake handle for coal powered  steam trains, just remembered where I did see that.

The bottom right one is part of a door/hatch hinge I believe. Top on left, you may be right ? we used to have steam trains come into Stanley.

The split link is off a harness, its a quick latch unlatch joiner.

Fishermen used them to easily lengthen a cray pot line when they moved to deeper water, very occasional failure, so you lost the craypot and potential contents. But very convenient and easier to undo than a mongrel wet knot in sisal rope.

The brass chain link with the v cut was called a Sister Clip on sailing boats.

Used to assist quick release of sails sheets etc.

The block of wood that the brass fittings are mounted onto is very similar to a piece of Rose Mahogany I sold at a garage sale some years ago.

Even down to the sap line in the bottom edge.

Have fun Haji-Baba.

Ps. Couldn't be, the original post from Albury, probably river red gum.

G'day Craig, hope you are both well and avoiding all those germs up there?

Now, are you sure you have named those things right? They bon't look anything like 'bibs' and don't look like any 'bobs' I know.

Better go to specsavers Chief, the harpoon could certainly fasten any BIB, the little nuts could belong to Robert.

Only a couple of cases at the moment perday, or none yesterday
