Registration plates

Hi everybody, I'm a new nomad and I have found the hints and tips very interesting and helpful.  I have recently moved and had personalized  plates on my car that were for the suburb I lived in.  I was trying to think what plates I could get to put on the new car I purchased and decided to use my ex service number.  The reason I'm sharing this with you is that I presume there are quite a few ex military personal in the caravaning world, and it could be a great way for us to catch up in our travels.  If you had your ex service number on your car you would be attracted to like minded campers and maybe even meet up with long lost mates.  I was in the army so I have put an A at the end of my number but if you were or are in one of the other services you could put N for Navy or R for the RAAF.  Hope to see you on the road take care and stay safe. Cheers RooDog

In Vic, as far as I am aware you can only have up to 6 digits on your number plate.

As my Army No. is 6 digits, this would preclude having a service identifier as well.

Welcome to GN's Roodog,
Place a service decal on back of van - anyone interested will identify themselves - It is usual for ex-service personnel to keep in touch with their Mates anyway.
