Welcome to the gang Bill, enjoy here and out in the playground.

I don't have one as have a aircon in my aluminium tent. I have heard that the one you ask about are not as good as made out. That said and IMO, they are probably OK if right in front of you and more than likely better than nothing.

It's my experience that evaporation coolers are unwieldy when space is limited. O don't even pack mine now. Small USB fans are good at night but nothing beats a fan that can push a lot of air. I pack both. Noise had never worried me so I'm find my Coleman rechargeable it very effective (runs and charges on AC or DC). I also use a powered vent and leave an screened window open to create air movement.
