Sorry I can't post the latest John Cadogan vid here, hoping someone can. It's a reality check on BS green EV patriots.
Do you have the name of the video? Cheers
LATER.Don't worry as there are a number of videos easily found which show the absurdity of all this EV bullspit. You can fool some of the people all of the time. You can fool all of the people some of the time, but you'll NEVER fool all of the people all of the time.Seems the EV rubbish fits into the first category? Cheers

My EV saves me money, barely makes a dint in the amount of power I export to the grid and it does exactly what I purchased it for in the first place. Cardogan otoh has never saved me money, wastes my power when I watch his BS opinionated videos and I wouldn't pay for his reviews. Horses for courses, only fools can't accept that important fact.
Ok I've just googled John Cadogan youtube, and his latest vid ZERO: NOT "HERO" is the one I'm referring to, hope someone will post it so we can debate the merits of the EV story as regards Australia cheers

Hi peter67,
found it.
I hope this forum doesnt shoot the messenger as I do know that some of us dabble in the belief of Zero Emmision EVs
I got four minutes into that video and couldn't watch any more.
It is a shame you didnt watch it to the end. After all, you dont hesitate that others should watch and read all the links you post.
Buzz, If you did watch it to the end you would have heard the *actual* figures that truly relate to current EVs not achieving ZERO Emissions.
Cadogans style of presentation is not to my liking and most of his stuff I watch under sufferance so when one does not agree with his facts it is easy to understand why they turn it off.
You may have learned something about EVs and our government, had you watched and listened to the end.
Thanks for posting that vid Clarky 1. Agree with your comments regarding John Cadogans style being hard to take at times but, what he says in the video about the EV push and it's practical limits is interesting. This subject appears regularly here for debate and since this vid addresses whole of life emissions I found it interesting and wonder how others see it, cheers.
It's easy for someone to criticise something they don't like by pointing out a fact but not the actual issue.
Yes. EVs do not have zero emissions. That's obvious. What is important is that EVs release about half the CO2e emissions than the equivalent ICE vehicle over their lifetime. Even more so if the electricity to charge the EV is sourced from renewable energy. That is the important thing to note. Not that EVs have zero emissions.
Cardigan's statement of 'zero emissions' to post the video within the first four minutes is false. It takes electricity to post the video, run the servers and for others to view the video.
I thought most of what he talked about was well known.
I totally agree but it was exceptionally annoying to watch a self opinionated person, rabbiting on for over 17 minutes. Yes, I eventually watched the video and it was a waste of my time.
The OP could have just linked to the report, referred to by Cardigan. That would have been much more pleasant.
