Informal camping area behind  Kidman Way Rest Area where it crosses the Broken Hill railway line, 20kms South of Mt Hope between Hilston & Cobar.

Mobile signal a little dodgy. Plenty of room to not be seen from the highway camping in mallee scrub.

Flat area for those seeking a quiet, slightly remote spot to stay for a night or two.

Trains pass by around once per day & cannot see you.

Some rubbish around left by a few grots, beer cans don't burn. plenty of firewood around. Great starry night sky here.

We've stayed here twice, both times for two nights.

Interesting walk along the abandoned Mt Hope railway line.
