BBC radio drama you may enjoy

I have been an avid BBC radio listener for decades and particular their drama productions, here are a few I think you may enjoy - it goes without saying they are all very well written and acted.

I'll add to this thread over time:

---

The Corrupted

This mammoth production (currently 60 x 45 minute episodes) charts the lives of a working class, criminal family in London's East End from the 1950s to current times.

The author, GF Newman, has skilfully woven his fictional characters into the lives and times of gangsters such as the Crays and Ricardsons.

---

Brief Lives

Set in current times in Manchester and follows the work and lives of a para-legal team. Sometimes funny, sometimes sad but always engaging.

---

Pilgrim

I really enjoy this series, a most original idea of a man cursed with eternal life in the middle ages but set in modern times.

Unfortunately there are only two episodes currently available on the BBC website (copyright issues I imagine) so grab them whilst you can.

---

McLevy

Set in Edinburgh in the late 1800s the series follows James McLevy an Inspector of Police in his righteous quest to uphold the law although, just sometimes. tempered with kindness.

---

Enjoy.
