Yeah G'Day Everyone.

Hi, I'm new and happy to be part of your community. Been camping all of my life and recently bought an A'Van Camper trailer to prepare for winding down my working life and hopefully spend more time roaming around. Sadly the wife is not one for rough camping and the Homemade camper trailer wasn't her ideal environment so I thought I'd start my Vanning life with a nice little A'Van Cruiser and introduce her slowly to my love of the outdoors. I plan to start with small trips to caravan parks and move up to long-term jaunts when she's ready. Wish me luck. I have made a post in Techies Corner regarding some advice on a repair I was hoping someone might have an answer for. If you are familiar with the A'Van concept I'd love to hear your advice on my problem. Happy Travels!

Welcome to the gang Dom and Mrs Dom, enjoy here and out in the playground.

I started time life on the road nearly 11 years ago now in a Avan Camper Trailer as a solo due to cancer had more a need for my wife than I did.

I had a great time in the little beast too. Traveled many roads and camped in many places and best of all met many great people from this forum and others and made many friends, some life long.

After 3 years though I decided I wanted something bigger with my own ensuite and fully self contained so had what is in my signature below built and now live in my aluminium teepee in comfort. I can go completely 'off grid' or hook into the 'grid'.

I do miss the smaller beast at times though because sometimes the bigger teepee limits you in smaller places but no drama as I avoid those.

I'm pretty sure you will both enjoy your Avan and make many happy memories.

Keep Safe on the roads and out there.
