This photo reminds me of a story that a lady told us not too long ago.
She'd been camping along the Murray River for a while & sometimes peeing in the bushes near the banks which were quite high.
Normal boats on the river couldn't see her but one day, mid pee she turned around to see a very high cruiser going past with people on the upper deck waving & whistling at her.
I have seen many 'contraptions' on the Murray over the years. Like, 4 drums tied together with a platform and a garden shed and kids sitting in the shed holding fishing rods and Esky next to them, another that comes to mind was the same sort of base but a bathtub on top and a kid sitting in that fishing with a flashing light on top of his hat. Another was, I reckon very inventive, a young bloke with similar base, sitting on a bike raised at back wheel attached to a rotating paddle set up similar to the paddle steamers on the river and the kid was waving like the Queen as he went past. Yep, you see some funny stuff on the river.
Keep safe out there all.

Not the Murray River but I remembered this at GreenS Lake N C VIC from back in the good old days of GN gatherings there. It was in front of me and the 3 young blokes were funnny as.
OH! It didn't see the full days activities. The Eski with radio on top had something to do with that Titanic like disaster.

Ok I'll have a guess. They had the rap music up so loud they never heard the flash super yacht coming up behind and got rammed--or, the super yacht skipper manages to swerve, it was a near miss, but one of the drunken ladies on the back deck is caught off balance and spills her scotch on the rocks into the water. Mini icebergs!! which are then washed down the side of the 44 gallon drums by the bow wave. The boys, being quick thinkers, then switch the radio from rap muzac to ABC for some orchestral music as the raft goes down. How am I doin so far? :)
Nah! Just a couple of bogans from the Elmore-Rochester area getting their rocks off.
Hopefully they enjoyed themselves because It'll be returning to just a swamp like it was originally, in the future.
