The Acrid Smell of Burning Skin-Oh the Pain

I think I will start using the sundial again. I dont think I will be wearing my watch anymore.

Got an email from the manufacturers advising me to remove my watch immediately.

Will watches now be a problem on aircraft.?

Will we be able to fill your car with petrol with a watch on.?

Will anyone with an EV be able to wear their watch when driving it.?

Will the driver of a truck carting a flammable liquid be permitted to wear his watch while driving.?

This raises a whole new list of problems.

The current trend with all these fires from Lithium Batteries is a problem

Are these batteries really the answer to saving the planet.?

This will circumvent the forum's broken profanity filter:

Rob,

You could do the world a favour and not use any lithium batteries at all.

 Buzz,

If all the people who may have problems with Lithium Batteries stop using them, then will the planet and all inhabitants perish by the year 2035.

Asking for a concerned friend!

Do the girls prefer the latest electric or old fashioned type?  :)

It may be just a coincidence but I have worn mechanical watches all my life until I bought the FitBit and I had two females on different occasions comment on my new watch.

My thoughts are that maybe they just like equipment with batteries in them. biggrin cry

You know; *Is that a lithium battery or are you just happy to see me.* biggrin

It's the recharging picture I'm getting here Rob, are you allowed to use a device whilst recharging it?

Apparently it is not while they are charging peter67.

Here is a snip from the article in the Guardian.

The watch was recalled after Fitbit received 174 reports of its battery overheating, including cases of 118 people being burned. Many users wear the devices in bed to monitor them while sleeping.

I have not had any problem with mine but I will take the refund. I have had it for four years.
