squeaky wall

HI everyone  ,

My van is 12 years young and about 3 years ago a wind gust ripped my awning off, no problem as it was replaced by insurance and so for the last

year or so there's a terrible squeak in the wall at the slightest breeze. driving us mad.

The noise is around front of van at top mounting point for awning and that's our bedhead end.

We think maybe the timber inside wall has split maybe, how can i get into wall as it looks like damaging interior to do so.

Thanks in advance for any help.

PS there's no mouse in there.

Welcome to the Gang Crinkle, enjoy here and out in the playground.

You might need to put a larger metal plate behind the fitting with bolts all the way through the wall and sealed well.

Keep Safe out there.

What does your Insurance company say?

I recall that at least for my car repairs, they came with a 'repair for life' guarantee.  Recently where a repair had been done down the side of the van, the decal started to bubble & split.  The repairer / Insurer came to the party & replaced it after 2 or 3 years.

Hope you are as fortunate.
