A while back, the Daughter gave me a "Man bag", and I have been under pressure to use it. BUT it has ten pockets, this means that if you put something in the bag, that's the last you see of it! Its got so many pockets, there's no room for anything like a rain coat or hat etc. On top of that, using it I feel naked, I can't feel my wallet in my strides, My classes case, or my MOB phone. But last, if someone steals my "Man bag" they have everything.
It has answered some questions though, "Why do women take so looooong to get going in the car, yes organizing their woman bag, why so long at check outs, yes ! trying to find what's in that bloody great sack they carry around.
You could always hang it over the back of your vehicle seat, as an organiser
Hope that my daughters, do not give me a man bag
They gave me a skivvy once, said it would pull me into the 21st century
It looked like a skivvy the Pope would wear, as it was sort of holy, and let the breeze in
Hi Tony, Yes I am well, now living just down the road from you at Mandurah. Yes the daughters been re-clothing me as well, now have a wardrobe of bright colored tee shirts and shorts, probably will only wear half of them.
10 pockets may be 5 too many. BUT who does hubby go to when out when he needs a band aid, free shopping bag cos his arms are to full, mirror when he got something in his eye, stamps to post a late birthday card, need I go on. Not to mention borrowing my credit my credit card when his cracked when he sat on his wallet. AND I always know where my keys are IN MY HANDBAG. However, I do understand that he might feel a bit 'camp' using a man bag, plus my man would probably loose it while out anyway. I've been carrier of a 4 pocket bag for many years, why change a habit if it's working.
Not me sorry however, I have been known to carry wallet phone keys etc in a green shopping bag around a shopping center. Doesn't look like a man bag and just looks like I'm shopping. Yeh I know, I'm cheating but it works for me
Keep Safe out there.

I use a old laptop computer bag. Only one big pocket and a small one for other things ? Also room for my mobile phone. I also have a couple of magazines to "pad the bag out". Works for me and everyone thinks I'm just carting my laptop around.
Since I have had to go off for medical treatment each fortnight I got myself one of these for convenience.
Mine doesnt have compartments, it is just a bag. It is good for extras you might need for the day including lunch. I take my iPad and all my required paperwork for the doctors etc.
I will say this though, for a man that has never carried a bag it is very easy to get up and leave it when you arent used to carrying it.
I should say as an edit that this style of bag is hardly something you might use at a more formal outing.

Many years ago I entered a hotel bar with a beautiful young lady who carried a shoulder handbag similar to yours. Hers looked quite heavy and made a jangling sound when she set it down on the table. When it was time for her to buy drinks she began to unload the bag as her purse was at the bottom. Among the items now on the table were two large ring spanners, a roll of 50mm masking tape, a can of flat black aerosol paint, exacto knife and finally the purse. She was a car detailer.
I have carted around a man bag for 52 years. Never lost it, always know where everything is.
Think I have 5 different bags in that time. The first 3, I always carried in my hand, I use one with a shoulder strap now.

I have 3 of those exact bags. Fantastic for fishing.

I say no to Man Bags!
I use my daughters old "book bag" she made it at craft in school. now in her 30''ies it makes her eye roll like mad LOL.
the wallet and phone are always in pants pocket tho.
This would make a serious man bag, an old medium format (pre digital) camera bag. I have a second one a bit smaller for the other shoulder. About 30kg both fully loaded.
