A Great Survivor


If you have ever traveled around the harsh, extremely hot and barren Gibber Plains near places like Coober Pedy, you may think nothing could survive out there..... but you'd  be wrong.

One  incredible battler out there is a tiny little yellow bird, known as a Gibber Bird. This tough bird lives it's entire life, and breeds in maybe the most inhospitable region on Earth.

Nice information about this battler species. Great pic too. No offence to that little fella, but it's colours are not unlike a Sparrow with a bit of extra colour tinting, rather than the Sparrow's greys and browns on the chest and belly.

 Can be very hard to find amoung the trillions of Gibber rocks, movement is what generally gives them away

 To a birding person, they look very different, but I get what you are saying
