which 200 ah lithium battery should i get ?


best thing is the size it's only 110mm wide slimline, so takes half the space in rear of car, leaving enough room for fridge slide and draws in rear, perfect. I've noticed even when car parked under carport, system still draws in solar charge , so fridge runs 24/7 with battery still at 100% while stationary. fyi

My van has a Morningstar ProStar controller and these are programmable so once I set up a Lithium charge profile they were simply a drop-in replacement for the two dead 18month old AGMs.

used to sell batteries in a past life, if you look closely you will see they only have stickers on them, we changed brands once and the new suppliers just came and changed stickers over. only about 2 manufacturers supplying every brand.

 Havnt had issues with 200AH AGMs .  Over 7 years .its the whole package from solar, regulator and batteries .  No point having twice the batteries if charging solar / from 240 is not up to spec .  Some van manufacturers rely on motor to be driven every second day also or plugged into 240 !

I don't understand the claims of "on a serious diet"?

All LiFePO4 boxes are half empty, as manufacturers persist in conveniently using standard sized cases of equivalent capacity lead acid batteries, and four lithium cells don't take up much room in a standard sized case.
Four quality 100ah cells would weigh in at around 9.5-10kg

And, remember, we are talking RV usage where 99% of users will draw smallish currents over a long duration.
Most every LiFePO4 cell made has a recommended max rate of 1C discharge or charge.
If you really need to run and actually use the full capacity of that 2,000 or 3,000 watt inverter, then just get two or three 100ah batteries and hook them up in parallel rather than a single 200 or 300ah battery.
Surely 200 or 300 amps continuous draw is enough for the vast majority of users.

My two 100ah units in parallel have no trouble running my 1,500 watt inverter for the 1100 watt microwave, but sucking out 170 amps for an hour of microwave takes two days full sun to recharge with 450watts of solar panels.

Well at least Low Energy Developments has a shop front and are selling more than just batteries unlike many cheap lithium battery sellers.

 Their 200Ah battery only has a 100Ah BMS and discharge current of 100A which may not be adequate for some users.

The weight of batteries has been discussed before.  Eve 100Ah cells weigh 1.92kg give or take 0.1kg.  Four of those plus a bms, some cables and a case will come in well below the weights of some batteries advertised.

Most of these batteries are just standard cases with a sticker on but you can also get printed cases from China.  I would be surprised if any of them apart from Itechworld which has the Redback BMS are actually put together in Australia.

Aussies provide great service and have responded to a couple of technical questions within 24 hours.
