I also love all of those songs.

There were sooo many great songs in the 1970s that I found it very challenging to trim my initial list down to 10.

These days no-one plays an instrument in the crap that people listen to, its all computer generated.
Why do people call vocal groups like TAKE THAT & THE SPICE GIRLS bands, none of them play an instrument so how could they be bands?

You make a good point GTS. I think much like art, music generated in the 60's and seventies was much helped by the drug culture that prevailed then.
