Trail-A-Mate fix

Four years after seizing my Trail-A-Mate jack I took it on today

Original Problem: The outer tube had crimped itself onto the inner tube after I had over tightened the jacking lifter changing a punctured tyre on the van

Fix: open the jack release take the largest hammer you can find and whack the under surface of the base plate thereby forcing the inner tubing back through the outer tubing crimpage

I then put the Trail-A-Mate back on the van and jacked it right up to the red mark on the inner tubing I then released the jack and let it descend down quickly under the weight of the van a couple of times . joy ! The inner tube is falling down to the lower limit again Happy Days ! I suppose I am the only drongo to have busted this bit of gear up ?? Phil
