Boris: The comeback kid

I reckon a small bet on Boris could be money well spent....

Boris was damned if he did and damned if he didnt.

I have read that a lot of investors / shareholders have lost money since the exit and I believe British companies are relocating in Europe to maintain their markets.

It must be a very complicated issue with many reporting that the exit should not have happened.
Mike your money might be good but they could just select another leader that could become a puppet of the silent members behind them.

Time will tell Mike, so what are the odds.?

A quote from Boris which I do like:

----

My friends, as I have discovered myself, there are no disasters, only opportunities. And, indeed, opportunities for fresh disasters.

How about a dollar or two on Rishi?

It will be close I think.

If I had a vote I'd probably go Boris, I was annoyed to discover, a few months past, that Rishi Sunak held a current Green Card for the USA. He is also very wealthy and I do wonder how well people who can purchase a couple of Rolls Royces with their credit card can relate to people struggling to pay their gas bill.

To vote for Boris just goes to show how broken the system is and what an arrogant ass wipe he is
for putting his hand up. Obviously does not give two hoots about the country but more the power
grab and the misplaced adrenalin fix.

Have we forgotten all that resigned under his leadership?
Have forgotten all the breaches he is accused of?
Thought we were bad. Maybe the Poms like what we do - 6 PMs in 11 years, a record to beat
or aspire to?

And how dumb are the people in the street who get asked about the election of a new PM

claiming 'it is undemocratic'. That's the system Luvy. Learn about it as opposed to show your

ignorance on national TV.

BoJo the clown.

Was reading somewhere that one of those so called fortune tellers predicted before Boris left that there would be a return of him this year.. See how it goes and how good the prediction is

So he's either really smart in realising that there is no easy fix, Liz took the fall and he does not

want to be part of it or,

common sense prevailed.

It appears to me, that it had been a case of pollies playing politiks, for their own gains, instead of trying to unite for the good of the country

On the other hand, it has nothing to do with me, as I do not get to vote over there

But...

If I lived and had a vote over there, I would never again, vote for a party which had so much in-fighting

Good one, any chance you could identify a party that does not have in fighting, over there or anywhere for that matter.. We are talking about polital types. I guess you will never vote for anyone :)

 Hi Aussie 1

I think that there is a big difference between political backstabbing, and bringing a country to its knees
I can not remember any aussie political party, bringing the country to its knees, and having three PM's in as many months

For many years now, I have never actually voted for any particular party, so I can not recommend any to you

I just look up the candidates in my area, and vote for the one, who I think will do the best for my area, regardless of which party they belong to

But...

On the other hand, I will never again vote for anyone who belongs to the mob, who helped the businessman, to try and crack open the West Australia border

biggrinbiggrinbiggrin Also if you care to vote for me biggrinbiggrinbiggrin
In a very short time, you will be walking down the road, with a blond on one arm, a bottle of whiskey under your other arm, and a beeg cigar in your mouth
If you do not care to have a blond, whiskey, or beeg cigars, you can still vote for me
Because when I am in power, you will do what you are damm well told to do

It looks like they have suddenly realised, that their in-fighting was not the way to go

The only nomination at the time deadline, was Rishi Sunak, as Penny Mordaunt dropped out

He will now become the new PM

Hope that they can get their act together, and steer their ship in the right direction

I can think of a cerebral midget on this forum who will be in therapy this morning when he hears the news.

Good for you and good luck with your "local choice" but remember that local choice will only be as effective as their party dictates. Or if an independent, well, they have no chance over the majors.  Keep smiling though and enjoy your selection biggrin   It is good though that we have no in fighting on this forum eh   biggrin

Have to agree however re your comment about "that" mob who tried to help the businessman and then tried to deny it no

Must've been a hard decision for some to vote in favour of a 'coloured' person. Maybe they had no
other choice.
In hindsight would've been must simpler to simply go to the one who came second to Liz.
In saying that they probably relied on BoJo. White male, blonde hair.....

My view is that the party votes followed the money.

They may feel safe to follow a billionaire.

I don't think he was consulted about it though....
