Welcome to GN's Rod, I am not familiar with the "Non-Pressure" on filler cap even though I owned a 2003 Jayco - I would guess that the plumbing system is not suitable for direct connection to mains water (only a filler aperture).
The cap with non Pressure written on it is for filling the tank by hand IE that means by hose not directly connected or by water can or bucket. The other fitting looks like where you connect directly to a water supply by hose. This would be so if you have a normal tap over the sink. If the van is equipped with its own pressure pump this would then connect into this water system. I suggest that you ask the person you purchased the van from or someone more experienced with vanning to look at your plumbing.

As Possum 3 said, it is for tank filling only, no pressure. I have a 2006 Jacyo Freedom and it has a separate connection point next to the tank filler to attach a mains pressure hose. The van sink has two taps, a hand pump operated tap for the water tank and a separate tap for the mains pressure. They are two separate systems, not connected.

Welcome to the forum, rodsfromday
Also the the black cap (on my Jayco motorhome) is an American thread On my Jayco Motorhome the black cap cap goes through the water pump This means that you do not need the pump going, when you are connected to the outside garden water tap

Hope that this makes sense
An important also; when connected to pump the mains inlet should have a tap/c0ck in closed position so the pump doesn't push the water from tank back through hose attachment nozzle.

Hi
Thanks for all the feedback. I had a look and i have 1 tank which is filled via the "non pressurised" filler and the other inlet runs direct to the 12V pump for kitchen tap.
