What a difference to NSW. Victoria welcomes visitors to their territories - no doubt they have closed off areas as well, but in NSW, every interesting track has a gate across it.

That's what angle grinders are for.

National Parks & Wildfires in NSW have put armed guards on some access roads in the past, they are only "RentaCop" but it does show the disdain they show to ordinary ratepayers.

They are great guides aimed mainly at 4x4 touring types.
We have the old editions of these pamphlets that we got from the Lakes Entrance Visitors Centre.
They do cover some great Gippsland country.
A few of the routes are hard core 4x4 requiring more than one vehicle for safety reasons.

That is true but they are graded, most are Easy to Medium some are AWD.
A lot of people tow with 4WD or AWD so it gives them a chance to get away from the camp and see a bit of the bush,
Some are half a day or a full one. We always go first to the Info Centres for leaflets and maps.

Info Centres are a great source of maps etc.
We've collected enough stuff on our travels to open our own centre.
Interesting that Parks Victoria have almost cut out supplying individual park info sheets.
Their website is next to useless as well. Their booking system for places like Corringle Slips & Cape Conran is a bit of a nightmare too. Budget cuts & staff shortages.
The info centres at Sale & Lakes run off photocopies of them from an original.
