Our caravan is packed away for the rest of this year but it doesn't mean that we cant get out into nature.
We try to do at least two day trips per week.
The Cranbourne Annexe specializes in native plants from all parts of Australia.
Its also surrounded by relatively undisturbed natural bushland full of endemic species.
Many types of birds, animals & reptiles live in & around the gardens.
Here are a few photos from our visit today.
Eastern Brown Bandicoot.
Dusky Woodswallow.
Little Wattlebird on Waratah.
Red-browed Firetails bathing.
New Holland Honeyeater on Kangaroo Paw.
New Holland Honeyeater on Grevillea.
New Hlland Honeyeater on Banksia.
Tiger Snake with Brown-striped Frog.
Ditto.
Native Hibiscus.
Waratah, not the NSW species.
Grevillea.
Epacris.
Not too sure about this one.
Melaleuca.
Teatree.
Everlasting Daisy.
We recommend visiting the gardens at any time of the year as there's always a plethora of native flowers in bloom in all seasons.
Nature, the cathedral of awe.
Cheers Craig
