Hi all - hoping to get some help on this: ePro Combi Inverter Charger: Was overloaded during an unexpected power outage in a van park, and shut down. It was then left off for over an hour and has now cooled.
However all of the unit's lights stayed on (and continue to stay on) even when the unit was turned to the 'Off' (middle) position.
The status lights show: Charger on - off, not lit Inverter on - solid green AC In - solid red
The output power bar (all lights) stays solid red.
The remote control will not start.
There is no change to the situation above when: a) the unit is turned on, or is turned off b) the power is connected or disconnected
When the unit is turned on the unit does appear to be charging slightly.
This situation has not changed in over 2 hours
Hoping someone has seen this situation before and can provide a solution
Many thanks,
Russ and Trish

However if this is the inverter then I would be contacting Enerdrive and asking them what is going on as the product is specified to have protection against both over temperature and overload, indeed I would expect these facilities to be designed into any quality inverter. And I would not be receptive to any mention of "out of warranty" - I don't care how old it is it should meet its basic specifications otherwise it's not fit for purpose.
Let us know how you go please.

Have you tried disconnecting the 240v & 12v for say 10 minutes & also connecting the 12v negative & positive together on the inverter (not the battery).
It's often done on modern cars to solve error codes, well at least on Land Rovers.

Hi Mike - thanks for your reply - yes, that's the inverter. Enerdrive site is not helpful, but they have a 1300 number that will be answered again on Monday - I'll try then.
Thanks WAWT - I've disconnected the mains supply - no difference. The batteries are pretty much inaccessible in our JB. The inverter is definitely holding a charge (i.e. lights still on when it's turned off), so I'm not game to open it. Looks like I might have to wait until that charge dissipates and see if the unit resets itself - by Monday I'll know I need to seek expert help (and expense :)
** NOW RESOLVED ** Thanks all for your help. We managed to get inside the inverter unit to disconnect then reconnect the negative battery terminal (DC reset / 12v reset).
