A few days ago a friend phoned for a chat, when we were just about to finish she said "Have a really good Christmas" - I thought for a moment and then replied "What's with the Christmas greeting? You're Jewish and I'm an atheist." :) But I suppose Christmas is more a social than a religious event nowadays.
I hope we all have a good 2023 and, with luck, a more peaceful one in Ukraine.

Yes a Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year, to all the Grey Nomads, I have had the privilege to meet, while out and about, in this fantastic country of ours
I also wish for peace and goodwill to all others, especially those in Ukraine and the rest of Europe
The biggest joy of Christmas (other than the birth of a Deity) is the opportunity to meet with friends and Family.
To be able to watch Grandchildren open presents which the Child-bride has been buying for months, demolishing a feast of rich foods more appropriate for Europe than an Australian summer.
Living in a land of relative peace and plenty it is appropriate that we ask for blessings on the victims of War, Poverty, Aged and Infirm.
Watching carol services at home or at Church we remember our own childhood and dreams, those that have passed on before, Family, Friends, Comrades in the Military or other services.
I also, wish one and all a Happy, safe Christmas and a prosperous new year.
