Bad luck - oh no!

With trepidation I note this coming Friday is the 13th!

Worse, much worse, yesterday I broke a mirror! It's one I use for shaving and hair (what there is of it) cutting and as I moved it I knocked it to the ground where it shattered!

If there is an earthquake or similar in central Victoria on Saturday it's probably my fault and I apologise in advance :(

Despite my whimsy above I am not but... are you superstitious in any way? Many people are....

Have you tried saying "Sorry" to the broken mirror?

With the current trend for anyone aggrieved to demand an apology, which apparently then rights whatever they perceive to be wrong, perhaps that will work? Good luck. Cheers

 No, I haven't.

However I did glue it back together but when I looked into it the reflection just cracked me up :)

Nope but I'm starting to wonder if I've angered Lady Luck in some way.no

Alternator broke on the Pajero the week before Christmas and the auto electrician isn't able to fit me in till next week so the Pajero has been sitting in the front yard for 3 weeks and I've been stranded at home like we're still in covid lockdown.  Such a great way to spend Christmas and New Year.

Next day I plugged the caravan into the mains to give the batteries a charge and discovered 2 hours later that the stove had been turned on but not off.  End result was smoke damage and the stove glass top shattered into a million pieces.

Boxing Day I discovered that rodents had nibbled on the 12v wiring for the shed meaning the deep cycle battery wasn't being charged by the solar panels so I'll need to replace that one of these days otherwise I've got no lights in there.

And last weekend I discovered the casing for the pool chlorinator had cracked and was leaking and the dog had chewed a hole in the piping for the barracuda pool cleaner.

I figure my luck has got to improve one day so I'm planning to buy a lotto ticket for the next big Saturday draw.

Beautiful sunny day here adjacent to the beach. Took the rocket out of the garage & did a run down the peninsula via a few winding roads, with the windows down so we could enjoy the sporty crackle of the exhaust pipes.

We picked up some produce, fruit & salad items from a farm gate market garden outlet, then we called into a local winery & bought eight bottles of vino. We also called into our local butcher.

Tomorrow is forecast to be 30 degrees, we'll be having juicy eye fillet steak covered in homemade garlic butter with a balsamic dressed side salad. Garlic prawns as an entree beforehand. All enjoyed under our shady entertaining area.

A good day today & hopefully tomorrow as well.

I've been searching on the internet for good music to accompany our BBQ tomorrow. I found all four CD's of this little gem to download. Some classic memories there! A LUCKY Friday 13th overall I'd say.

If worried about 13 stick with the Chinese, they are more worried about 4.
