I cant tell which part may have been written by the bot.
I was talking to my son last night and he tells me that he is in Facebook Jail. (Really)
Apparently he was talking to his mate on FB about packing his car for camping and he could not fit another esky in that they only need if they go fishing.
Well anyway he said to his mate that it would be good if he had a *blow up* esky and almost immediately he says he got a message to say his account was restricted for three days. Well he protested and with that the bot increased his penalty to 27 days.
So now my son is in the same class as an ISIS terrorist apparently.
I hate it when on the net and you need to use a *chat* facility and before you even start you know that you will be communicating with a bot.
If we look to the future, forums like this will eventually be gone or run by bots.
I think I would rather have Cindy message me and tell me to pull my head in than have to go into Grey Nomad Jail.

This forum already has a stupid profanity filter. Maybe an AI bot would do a better job.
As for social media, imagine a setup where you have a clerk bot on the front line, then a supervisor bot to handle complaints, and a manager bot to handle any escalations.

I had an argument with management in the early 1990s (not the only time due to management failure).
The "computer" was running stock control. I said that we were running out of stock to sell & because we were running out of stock the computer was ordering less stock because we weren't selling anything.
It was only fixed when management performance bonuses were stopped.
At the time I thought one couldn't write this stuff. It had to be seen to be believed. The endless list of excuses was mind blowing.

I wonder if you can discuss the 1960s movie Blow Up on Facebook?
Many years ago, in another place, I was doing some electronics design work on high voltage power supplies to be used for sputter deposition systems and, as a consequence, ordered 100 very high voltage capacitors. I was not surprised, a few days later, to receive a telephone call from a government department which was rather vague about what it did but was quite definite that it wanted to know why I wanted those capacitors! I told him and we discussed my project and my customer, in some detail, and he said if I didn't hear back from him within a week all was good. I did not hear back from him or anyone else.
There are not too many applications for very high voltage capacitors but, as I knew, one of them is the manufacture of a nuclear bomb :)

In the not so recent past I was using Bot to check electronically submittted Student Assignments for plagerism. Now with the easy access to AI tools like ChatGPT, I'm wondering if I'm going to have to move to some kind of oral defence of submitted assignments such as used for Phd candidates.

If we think about the use of cyber bots it is frightening how easy an entire school year curriculum could be programmed and presented to students and then assessed by another bot to check, mark and provide a certificate for a pass or fail.
Goodbye to the teaching staff.
An entire year of the state effort in school lessons to be set and marked by one programmer and a desktop computer.
If applied to all years then our children would graduate or fail in a much shorter time frame than the 12 or so years that they currently attend.
The saving to the state would be enormous. All the real estate could be handed to those who claim it is theirs. The 10 or 12 programmers that we need to educate our children could demand a very good wage but would be a minuscule percent of current teachers wages,
Gee, teachers would end up like the now redundant check out operators in supermarkets.
When we think about it we could have a referendum to vote for Coles and Woolworths to be our education providers.
If applied to all years then our children would graduate or fail in a much shorter time frame than the 12 or so years that they currently attend.
Not really. Children develop cognitive ability at a rate that matches age progression. Binet wrote a whole Psychology on his observations of child cognitive development. Face to face teaching in the presence of peers also motivates students to learn as they respond to group membership as part of Social Identity.

Children need to be taught by people thay respect not by ones who want to leave them on the internet computer.
Kids can be happy at work if thay are doing things thay like. Lots of them cant see why staying at school and have to learn things not needed.
Dont teach kids with computers but teach them things like trades that thay will be interested in. Trades are never out of work.
Kids who can go to work generally dont commit crimes.
