"Never in the field of forum posts have so many been closed by so few"

Apologies to Winston.

Have to agree Phil,

I was astounded that a post by SC about 'where the forum was headed' was closed after another slanging match.

I'll just stick to posting the jokes when I get them.

Cheers Bob

Keep em coming Bob. It's getting to be the best part of the forum. Sad to say.

A thread was removed altogether after I commented on teabags & thin tea. Better leave it at that. We have had a good laugh!

Keep them up Bobdown. Only sensible part of forum at moment although sometimes people tend to venture in for a little debate on a joke

It was closed, but there was no 'slanging match'.

Instead of removing posts it is high time some posters were removed either temporarily or permanently no

I have no problem with the odd political or off colour thread being closed or deleted., keeps things on an even keel as well as hopefully educating members as to what is and what is not acceptable.

More power to our hard working moderator, she runs a tight ship under difficult conditions.smile

I was surprised that anyone who had or was the controlling body in 3 forums as claimed, was not aware that commenting on the moderation on that very same forum was not recommended as its very action breaks forum protocol.

I couldnt see any *slanging match* in that topic.

I think that with the continued use of Face book type forums, all forum etiquette has just about disappeared.

Cindy has her work cut out, I know she has her hands full at times just keeping me in check, but having said that, her decision has always been explained to me when necessary and my concerns in some matters have been resolved with sound explanations.

Cindy closed the topic with comments that offended no one. My feelings are that restraint was the better part for all.

Bob
I love your jokes as I do most others.
Some info in there from many of us can be very risqué at times.
