Balranald NSW to Ivanhoe NSW

We are looking to travel to Agnes Water next month and are planning to travel via Balranald to Ivanhoe, to Cobar. Are any members able to advise if that road is sealed and a good road to travel on towing our caravan??

Hi WBD. From memory most of that road between Balranald and Cobar via Ivanhoe is unsealed and copped a fair bit during the floods last year.

A better choice would be to go Balranald, Hay, Goolgowi, Hillston and up to Cobar. A bit longer but a much better road and I think it is sealed all the way.

I was out that way last October through to December and the roads around there were all closed for weeks.

Thank you DMaxer. You are correc, the best way north from Balranald is via Hay / Goolgowi.

thank you for your advice all the same.

No problem at all. Have a safe and enjoyable trip. Hillston is great.
