Proposed ban of fruit fly pesticide dimethoate concerns growers - ABC News

I shake my head over this one.

Particularly the comment from one grower

"I constantly worry that the government keeps sticking their nose in and even though I don't like dimethoate they'll make the decision to ban something I really, really can't do without."

He doesn't even like dimethoate but he's willing to put it on his fruit to make a profit??

Government sticking their nose in.!!!   It's just where it should be.  In fact, shouldn't things like this be managed federally and not left to states to decide if their profit margins can be enhanced by spraying crops with harmful chemicals?
