W.A. Wildflowers.

Hi recently moved to Perth and plan to take the van out to see the wildflowers mid Sept. Would appreciate any suggestions on where to base ourselves.

The flowers bloom in a wave as the season rolls down North to South.  So check where they are actually blooming at that time. Four weeks ago we were coming down the Great Northern Hwy. and they were just starting to show colour around (just South of) Newman.

Perenjori is good for Wreath Flowers along the Perejori_Rothsay Road. But they only last a few weeks.

Thanks Tony, Mike and Ellie. I will get the map out and check the towns that you have recommended and do some research. Ta.

We are currently at Mullewa and the flowering is a bitt late this year. Take your time and be ready to stop a long the way when traveling and look at the flowers as there is it is surprising the different in the flower. We are plaining a camp at Westways Wildflower Camp near Moora, sounds interesting $10 per person per night and $10 per person tour of their wild flower farm

Thanks everyone. That gives me some areas to have a look into and plan.
