These lables attached to products are an absolute pain in the backside. Every new electrical appliance has conspicuous lables advising energy capabilities - too late once the product is delivered into the home.

Hi all; My wife saves jars and reuseing them for when she make jams and chutney. Trying to get the labels off of these takes some doing. Hot water and a knife will get the lable off, but the glue that is used need a soak in eucalyptus oil and even then some glue is left. Time to head out to the man cave and try a bit of acatone. This works for what is left and then another wash in hot water for a final clean up of the jar.

I don't know what type of glue is used, but does NASA know of this stuff, it could come in handy for sticking the tiles back on the space shuttle !!!

Spraying the labels with WD40 works on some labels, let it soak in a bit and then scrape the label off. Good luck.

Sometimes putting the glass in the freezer will make the glue brittle & it will chip off & scrape off more easily.

Don't put the glass in hot water or it will most likely crack from the cold temperature.

Never found glue residue that wont wash off with a bit of petrol on a rag. Quick, simple and product generally available in man cave. Rewash in hot soapy water after.

Only problem is the cost.biggrin
