Feet on Dashboard.

When I'm driving the Roadtrain my eye-level is around 2500mm from the ground, so when I'm being overtaken, or I'm stopped in traffic, obviously I get a good view of the interior of smaller vehicles.

Without going in to details, some "interesting" activities take place when there is only the driver in the car, but also when there is a couple travelling together. Passengers must be tired because they  seem to enjoy lying with their head in the driver's lap.

Of late, however, I've noticed an increasing number of front-seat passengers who travel with their feet up on the car's dashboard, and I can't help but wonder what would happen to that passenger in a high-speed head-on collision where their bent legs are forced up past their shoulders while their torso and head continue travelling forward at high speed?

Wouldn't be pretty, you can be sure! Cheers

Yes Yobar, you certainly do without trying.

As a long distant transport driver I could write a book about things I have witnessed, some pretty and others not so.

I think it was about the early Eighties, I am almost sure when I operating my new Volvo prime mover . there was an Australian movie about a transport driver, he leaves Melbourne, he heading west to Perth with a refrigerated trailer, he is playing this game while he was driving and observing the other motorist, for long time I thought I might of unknowingly wrote the story but still waiting for my royalties'.

I just did some googling. "Road Games" released in 1981.

My worst nightmare was having a flash Falcon GTHO in the mid seventies come along side of me on dual highway out of Mittagong, I was heading south to Melbourne from Sydney late in the afternoon, playing games sort of catch up to me then back off and I appeared out the window saw a case of paper money and the guy was holding a pistol, then he dropped back in behind me for a time, my mind was racing, I was thinking "what is he up to". My semi was not very quick and loaded, then after about 5 minutes, which seemed like for ever he pulled around me and was gone at a hell of a pace.

Then I just thought he must of had the wrong truck and trailer but I was so glad to get to Melbourne, next trip I had a different coloured prime mover.

Re tired women passengers laying their heads down. Is there a specific section in the learners road rule handbook that says do NOT have an orgasm while driving?

My mate back in sixties, cruising along in cab over panel van with girl friend, feet up on the dash touching the windscreen, when the windscreen got hit with stone. shattered the windscreen leaving to 2 unshattered foot marks where she had her feet.

Another story I have is where a young bloke had his girl along for the ride in truck and she went to sleep with her feet up on the dash and ended up with sun burnt feet.

If so, from my observations there would be quite a few people of both sexes who found themselves with a lot of explaining to do if stopped by members of the constabulary. Cheers

P.S When hitchhiking in Germany I once was picked up by a chap who was driving a nice Mercedes Benz. We were travelling at over 160kmh when he started pleasuring himself, with the desired result. All the while he just kept on driving as if his was normal behaviour.

I have never felt the need to put feet up on dashboard why Wifey is driving.

When I am driving, I have said to her it's not safe. I will only argue to a point.

Not quite sure if it is just a Wifey issue or wider issue, so to speak!

It is well known that even in a minor accident, having your feet up on the dashboard can result in very serious injuries both to the legs and internally when the airbag goes off. The explosion that inflates the bag can do you serious physical harm and is designed to be used in conjunction with a seatbelt so that the impact with the bag is reduced by the belt. Getting hit in the legs and bum directly by the bag is to be very much avoided. Very silly thing to do as is allowing your partner to nibble on certain parts of your anatomy whilst the vehicle is in motion. The end result of that in the event of an accident, doesn't bear thinking about.

I have driven heavy high vehicles but always kept my eyes on the road in front, even at traffic lights etc NOT perving at vehicles beside me at traffic lights etc. what they do is their business.
