The world doesn't seem to have twigged (a pun there, Twiggy married a local girl and is putting in significant renewables nearby) that we have steadily become over-populated.
In many cases, the wrong clowns being born and the good people who could not afford too many kids due in some instances to bludgers getting funded for a lifetime by our Federal Governments to breed absolute idiots. There is clear proof in my rural region of this over a few generations. Too few good kids have been bred, but a govt funded army of car thieves and home invaders now rule the streets.
I am not against renewables (in the local area), and if it can be done better, do so.
We DO need to look after our earth and environment, but SENSIBLY.
Not this gung ho Leftie Nimbin Greenie style of demands.
I have attended some local presentations by (overseas ownership) solar and wind mobs. There have been some terrible scraps in those meetings.
At one meeting we thought one of our mates off the land was going to take the lying little weasel b*llsh*tting at one meeting out the back of the Civic Centre and punch his lights out.
A big quiet, decent and well respected ex rugby front rower starting to get is bristles up at the (as proven later) awful misrepresentations given.
Some two years later I spoke to one of his neighbours who had their lives and farm property ruined.
The solar idiots and their so called engineers altered the water courses for a large solar farm next door and now when it rains their shearing shed, sheds, house and prime paddocks are flooded with water.
Numerous court cases have been held and no doubt will continue for years at great cost.
But of course the overseas company that built the monstrosity have since scarpered back home with a fat wallet and are virtually untouchable legally so it appears.
So in conclusion, I support renewables, but they should be restricted to crappy ground and subject to more government regulation rather than ruin our soft loam prime farmland.
At the end of the day all of this is reflected in our respective electricity bill increases.

I wish all these city-centric, latte swilling mob would get their facts right for a change instead of shooting off at the mouth with inaccurate speculation based on emotions, not facts.

All of these climate change summits need to concentrate on the true cause of any issues they perceive, largely being over population and continual industrial growth?
